Hybrid meeting with guest speaker Derek Kellogg: "Giving People Butterflies - where biology meets behavior in a tropical pollinator garden"

Derek Kellogg, originally from Tulsa, OK, is the new entomologist at Butterfly Wonderland. His primary function will be to maintain all aspects of the butterfly conservatory and collection. He will use his horticultural experience and knowledge to maintain the plants as a source for food and decoration. He will talk about changes he has made inside the Butterfly Wonderland Conservatory. The whys and specifically, how plant species, plant height, and plant health affect butterfly behavior.
Meeting will be held 7-9 pm, at Papago Buttes Church of the Brethren, 2450 N. 64th Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85257 (On the NW corner of Oak and 64th St. (This is about a mile north of the Desert Botanical Garden)
This is an "in person" meeting under the following conditions:
1) Attendees at the in-person meeting will be required to wear masks at all times.
2) There will be no food or beverages. Attendees are asked to bring their own water.
3) We will make an effort to socially distance and space out the chairs.
4) People who do not feel well or are running a temperature are asked please to attend the meeting virtually.
